Worship
We tend to be relaxed rather than formal in our approach to worship.
Our pastor comes down from Henty, three Sundays a month. We also have very capable lay readers who lead our worship when the pastor cannot be with us. We have fantastic musicians (keyboard, flute and singer), and lively music is an important part of who we are. Our worship will always be Jesus-centred and Bible-based. We usually blend a mixture of old and new styles of worship.
At St Stephen, we seek to enrich those who are already disciples of Jesus Christ, but we also seek to walk alongside those of you who are still contemplating the Christian faith and the unique claims Jesus made. Wherever you are at in your spiritual walk, it is our deep desire to make you feel welcome here. You will be greeted with warmth and a smile. You will also be invited to stay for a cuppa after worship on the Sundays when worship starts early.
We don't have many young children at St Stephen, but we are always prepared for activities when children are present. When children are present, Sunday school is held during the service, with 2–3 older members sharing the teaching load. Children are always welcome and will be invited to join any activities happening on the day.
We’d love to welcome you, so please come and join us.
